Alyssa was everything we could’ve hoped for and more! She made us feel at ease with her great vibes, which helped us relax and get the best photos of both me and my husband that I’ve ever seen. She helped answer all of our questions, provided way more emotional support than I ever could’ve expected day of and delivered photos quickly. I knew finding a photographer who we felt comfortable with was so important because you spend so much time with your photographer on your wedding day. Alyssa was exactly who we needed - not only made us feel comfortable but the photos were truly incredible. She worked great with our guests and can pivot like nobody’s business if needed. Payment, the photo gallery and ordering prints has been super simple as well. She’s a true professional. My husband and I had our wedding ceremony at the courthouse downtown with just our immediate family. We hired Alyssa to capture the ceremony and some photos before and after to commemorate the day. Alyssa had great ideas for unique photo spots, we also had fun walking around visiting some of our favorite bars with her. She was quick to send us preview photos & the finished photos all together. My husband and I had to pivot our initial wedding plans last minute because of COVID and move them from Alaska to my hometown of Des Moines, Iowa. We decided this 2 months before our planned wedding date which made for a stressful process of organizing our big day in a short amount of time with COVID regulations. We knew having a photographer document our day was a must. My husband researched a few photographers and stumbled upon Alyssa. She was the first and only one we reached out to. She agreed to take on our short notice wedding. She was very personable, easy to communicate with, and enjoyable to work with. She listened to what we wanted and did not want. During the planning we were struggling with finding an officiant. We asked Alyssa of any suggestions and she immediately provided us an option who we hired and ended up being equally as superb as Alyssa. The connection was a nice plus from hiring Alyssa. We feel as though her pricing was fair and she was very up front with the costs associated with hiring her. On the day of, she showed up on time and ready to go, and took an incredible number of great photos of us. She was able to fit in a quick session between our ceremony and dinner at a different location. She also joined us for our wedding dinner to both photograph and enjoy herself. We were embarrassed because the restaurant we booked mistakenly miscounted the number of chairs we needed. With a smile on her face Alyssa was willing to squeeze into the head of the table with me. Both my husband and I were surprised at how many great pictures Alyssa was able to take of us, our dog, and our party. We are not the most photogenic bunch, but you could not tell based on the pictures she took. The quick 1-day turnaround with a selection of photos was a nice perk. We were able to enjoy them on our honeymoon and reminisce. We were also able to quickly appease our families by sharing those with them. The quick turnaround on those photos allowed us to utilize the pictures on our Thank You cards without any delay in sending them out. Working with Alyssa was great, and we could not be happier with how the photos turned out. We would recommend her!

Alyssa is one of the most talented photographers in DSM and such a sweet person! At all stages of the process Alyssa was there to answer questions, provide recommendations, and help sure our special day was perfect. We had to change our plans due to covid and Alyssa was so accommodating. Alyssa did an amazing job capturing our special day (and dealing with our two pups) and we are so very thankful we found her! My biggest worry when searching for our wedding photographer was that I didn't want our photos to look like every other wedding out there. Alyssa made ART out of our wedding photos and gave us a unique and wonderful experience from our consultation to our wedding day. We ended up booking 3 sessions with her: engagement, couples boudoir (yes it's a thing and yes you should totally do it) and our wedding day. For each session, she ran with our ideas and exceeded what we had planned in our minds. She makes you and your partner feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Something that especially stood out to me on our wedding day was that she took the time to memorize names of our wedding party and family so that she could direct people and make them feel comfortable during group pictures. A small gesture that went such a long way. She was the only one photographing our day, but still somehow managed to capture every special person and moment throughout our wedding. As I'm sure you can tell by now, I can go on forever about how great Alyssa is to work with, but please know that if you're on the hunt for a photographer who will provide you with an awesome experience and photos you'll treasure forever, she's your girl. 🖤

We were drawn to Alyssa because of her artistic, unique style. We didn't want traditional, posed wedding photos and she delivered with beautiful photos that captured our sweetest moments. Alyssa was very responsive throughout the whole process. It was easy to communicate with her and her online booking process was a breeze.
