Live wedding reception flash tattoos are one of the best favor-meets-entertainment ideas I’ve seen. They’re unforgettable and genuinely fun for your guests. I love when couples skip the “traditional” reception ideas in favor of making their day feel like them. Instead of sending everyone home with a trinket or treat, the “favors” are permanent works of art tied to your wedding day.
Here’s how it usually works:
Your tattoo artist creates a custom wedding flash sheet ahead of time, filled with small, simple, one- or two-color designs made just for your event.
Guests pick their favorite from the sheet, and the artist tattoos it on the spot.
The couple pays a flat fee to book the artist for the night, and tips at the end of the event. Guests can tip for their tattoos too, if they’d like.
So fun!
Sadly, not every city/state allows tattoo artists to pop-up on location, so be sure to check with local regulations for your wedding venue. If you’re in Des Moines, unfortunately it’s a bit tricky to do reception tattoos, but ring finger tattoos and matching couples tattoos are always a super fun workaround!
