Sunny Late Summer Family Session At Home

I had the loveliest time in early September documenting the Doering family at home in the Iowa countryside.

Surrounded by wildflowers, cows, and sheep, they explored their acreage by way of many small adventures with their almost-two year old son. His magical childhood adventures brought them outside, soaking up the last of the summer heat and playing in the sunshine, feeding apples to sheep, revving the engine on dad’s old Ford Bronco, and picking a fresh bouquet of zinnias in the wildflower patch.

This candid, documentary style family session was relaxed – no posing or pressure, just unpolished and genuine moments of family connection. We just focused on the natural beauty of their real life in this moment in time. And it was perfect just the way it was.
